Mourinho Can't Manage Three Clubs...

...despite what the bookies say. So will he choose Chelsea (if it's offered) or Man City (even if that means United is a no-no)? And who will join him in big club management?

Guardiola dreams every night to manage a Premier club. He doesn't care which one because he knows than all of them are the Best in the World. Mourinho too of course. However, in the real world, Guardiola will manage a German club, Mourinho has already signed to PSG, soon to be called Paris and Ancelotti to Real.

Harry, spot on about City. Even a superficial investigation would indicate that Mourinho's short-term pragmatism plus his history with the City Exec strongly suggest he's more media wish-fulfilment than a reasonable bet. If Mancini doesn't see a sustained upward 'trend' in performances then Pellegrini would be strongest candidate. And there's the rub, they might not do YouTube highlights for managers but there's not a lot of outstanding candidates out there. Simeone and Laudrup for example are current media favourites; the former is getting results but plays almost exclusively attritional, counter-attack football and the latter hasn't done more than Rodgers in reality, good at one club, average at others.

I hope Mourinho will take on an international job till Ferguson retires. and then join united with Solskjaer as his assistant manager, who eventually succeed Mourinho after 5-6 trophy glittered seasons.

Sir Alex is not going to retire unless he has health problems and Mourinho doesn't really want to manage there. Manchester United, like Barcelona, is a club that should promote their own staff to managerial status. Chelsea and City are much more likely. Chelsea because Mourinho wants to live in London, but he already made history there and now that they were lucky enough to win the CL, I am doubtful. My money is on City which is the perfect club for him take over and give them the CL glory they are looking for (much like Inter and Real Madrid). There is an outside chance of Liverpool (for their rich history) and MAYBE Arsenal but since Mourinho is a Chelsea fan, I doubt it.

@ doughboy73.. we (united fans) are not Chelsea fans. They are spoilt brats who have a multi-billionaire daddy who can't seem to buy the right presents (see Varuca Salt, Charlie and the chocolate factory). We would never treat Ole that way.

Here's the question though- What the hell are Arsenal going to do? Manager who has lost his foo so now Arsenal are not very desirable any more, decent managers won't go to arsenal because they are not desirable any more. Gooners must be packing a serious sad.

I think it will all depend on who wins the champions league. If Madrid, he'll stay. If United, he'll go to United. So too early to say. Otherwise, I think he'll go back to Chelsea

I'd love to see solskjaer given a go at the united job, but fear he wouldn't be allowed to succeed by media / fans (see Chelsea AVB), think the next manager at United mght have to be a sacrificial lamb, like poor Wilf McGuinness

Bit of a silly premier for the article. If Mourinho was odds-on for all three jobs, then fair enough. But he's not. So all the bookies are saying is that he's the favourite for all three, not that he's likely to take them all. And in any case, it's even possible that he can be the next manager at all three clubs, but not simultaneously (not likely, but possible).
