I love how so many people seem to be convinced that should Wenger step down/be removed from manager's duty he will simply slot into another role in the club. I imagine he would probably want to tell the board.. And the fans, to get stuffed! I can't believe people want him to go! Ludicrous. Be careful what you wish for etc.

Wenger's going nowhere, not this season anyway, there's no-one better who's available. Moyes? Hasn't done any more at Everton than Wenger has at Arsenal. DiCanio? Don't be silly, that holds as much stock as the Ardal O'Hanlon for pope rumours! As for fans of other teams being able to recite decisions going United's way, of course they do, United have been the best team in England for nearly 20 years, this incites jealousy and selective blindness. We're all regaled of tales of the goal Spurs had disallowed even though it crossed the line, yet no-one talks about the goal Drogba scored that was so offside you could have called it from the International Space Station, it's jealous and pathetic to suggest United get any more decisions in their favour than any other side, but when it happens to Wigan, for example, no-one gives a sh*t, it doesn't even make the match report, when it's United, it makes the back page headline.

They need a manager who is more interested in football than the balance sheet. Wenger is failing to perform in his official role because he's too focused on something that isn't his job. Arsenal can afford to buy and pay good players at the market rate, but they buy and pay bad players at way above what the market demands.. their problems are all of their own design

There is a disproportionate amount of importance placed on the media and particular newspaper journalists. They are parasites that live off the like of Wenger. Their code of ethics must be in the sewer and while Wenger and Arsenal is a story and an ongoing at that one some of the nonsense being printed is at best scurrilous and s**t stirring. The recent leak of information from the Arsenal dressing room which included details on banning newspapers seems to have provided these journalists with the impetus to goad and provoke reactions. I believe Arsene has a right to be paranoid and should Arsenal look to replace him I hope it is done so in a manner befitting the clubs tradition. I believe Arsenal have tried to blend the clubs fabric into a modern multi national business while also remaing competitive. Perhaps they need to make a decision to look at another business model where they break their wage structures and relax the purse strings. I would like to see Wenger replaced by somebody like Bergkamp or DeBoer and move to another role within the club.

It's a very difficult situation for the club. Over the past 10 years, we have actually made about £1.5m a year in profit on transfers, whilst ManUre have spent £12.5m. Would Wenger actually spend that money if he got it? Our wages are huge because we've got a bunch of guys who don't even have squad numbers earning £1m quid a year. Word to the wise Mr W - Nico Yennaris, Ignasi Miquel, Craig Eastmond, Sanchez Watt, Nicklas Bendtner, Denilson, Chamakh, Park, Djourou, Santos are all still on the payroll. None of those players have a future at Arsenal - I'd love to know how much money would be generated by getting rid of them. In transfer fees and wages, you're proably looking at upwards of £30m in 2013. If the club are going to insist on operating a profitable business model, then at least do so efficently. Learn when to buy at the right time for the business, learn how to maximise the value of a player by selling him at the right time and learn how to cut your losses and accept less than the perceived value just to get players off the books. If Ivan and teh board can develop all these new skills, then Wener is still the man for the job - for now.
