dcpremo makes a good point, nobody has mentioned the monkey/scouse gene splicing experiment that is Peter Reid yet. Maybe the list is for fully human types only?

These top 10 lists rarely work which is shown by the absence of Howard Wilkinson to Sunderland

By 'rarely work' you mean 'I disagreed with some of it'.

Joe Kinnear wow! Not trying to excuse his language but we all know what the British sports press are - they could have made even the Pope use such language!!!

i'd put F365's pick of Hodgson at Liverpool on the list. goon, i have two pieces of evidence that make your statement frankly laughable: (i) Paul Konchesky; and if that wasn't sufficient (ii) Christian Poulsen. worry about your own club

Can't believe Peter Reid's name hasn't come up.

Mentioning George Graham and someone below said Juande Ramoz is a little harsh, we've won 2 cups since the FA cup in 91, both were won by the above managers. I doubt you'd get many spurs fans wanting to rewrite that. Gross was the worst one!

@ dozzey - Jo Venglos is a fair shout but his appointment was a sign of where we were as a club at that time, and there were some mitigating circumstances in his defence, not least the vast investment (i.e. over borrowing from the Bank of Scotland) made by R*nkers (RIP), having lost the league the previous season to Wim Jansen's immortals. His playing squad was deprived of the required quality to mount a serious challenge. He did at least have the distinction of beating R*nkers (RIP) 5-1 and gave us the joyous, majestic genius that was Lubo Moravcik for which we will be eternally grateful... John Barnes is a far more worthy candidate for this list, for both us and Tranmere. Celtic could have their own top 10, with Liam Brady, Lou Macari and Tony Mowbray joining the list as well.

King Kenny Dalglish II of liverpool - not just making him manager but getting rid of roy hodgson, who slowly but surely was building a decent team. liverpool listened to their fans, who listened to their hearts. kenny spent a lot of money on not a lot of talent. embarassed himself every press conference, didnt handled the suarez situation (would any other manager in the prem allow those t-shirts), and generally set the club backwards in time to an era when he last managed.

@ jelasfirsttouch, Ramos was a success before Spurs. However, I bet he couldn't tell you which kind of asphalt was used in the flyovers and ramps leading up to Heathrow Terminal 5. Les Reed on the other hand would *definitely* know. He just seems the sort.

I

m curious as to what image Real Madrid are trying to re-establish as I always thought their pre-Jose image was one of a bunch of a classless bullies tapping up whoever they wanted while living it large on borrowed money they're never going to pay back.

t the start of the season, after the RVP transfer, I confidently claimed that Arsenal would finish above United. I now regret it immensely.

aniel Storey generally did very well, going against the City won it last year so they're bound to win it this time grain. As for John Nicholson, I wouldn't trust him to predict correctly what day of the week it will be tomorrow.
