With Cavani's comment about Suarez feeling Liverpool can now match his ambition things are looking rosy on Merseyside...

He is at his peak, I know we always mention Ronaldo and Messi, but at the moment, if I was picking a team in the playground and the three of them were there, Suarez would be first. He seems to be a rare breed of striker too, he works bloody hard and as this says creates a wealth of chances for other player. Compare him to Zlatan who, whilst is good in front of goal, a right lazy bas**** He is easily the best player this season, possibly wont be recognised, but is head and shoulders above anyone else in the prem. Added to that, he's one of "those" players. You don't want to like him. Much of his reputation is based on dislikeable incidents and character traits, but it's impossible not to admire his talent. Like Ronaldo, we're lucky to have him. Even as a Man Utd fan, I want him in this league, not just another player who hops off to La Liga.......

That Suarez creates so many clear cut chances should surprise no one. He's simply the most unpredictable footballer in the league. With some players, like Messi or Ronaldo perhaps, you know what they're going to do, you're just powerless to stop them because they're so good. Suarez, this season especially, is simply unpredictable. He can turn any defender inside-out in the blink of an eye. It is remarkable how he continues to surprise us all, even when we've been watching him for nearly 3 years now.......

Howlong, I'm sorry, can't let that one go. He's made a huge effort not to bite anyone? Please explain your comment.

Totally agree with the artlcle. Suarez is having a player of the year season. TBF I would have sold him after the bite, but so glad he has stayed. Really matured and has taken all kinds of stick this year, but just dusted himself off and got on with it. Trusting Sturridge has paid off, so he no longer feels he has to do it all. Have to say I have loved his goals this year, and he is world class at the moment.

It's one of those rare seasons where we get to witness a player at the very peak of the game. Enjoy it while it lasts, is all I can say, because this guy is why we watch football.

He's simply world class and this year should get Player of the Year. Simple. Him and Hazard miles above the rest.

Yeah some people will never like him because of his past misdemeanours but he's made a huge effort this season on all fronts - the diving, moaning, not munching on anyone, helping others & scoring a barrel load has been a joy. The shot against the post on Saturday reminded me of the two best missed efforts of all time from Pele - both completely different - the shot from half way line and the dummy to round the keeper - you just wanted them to go in!
