Van Gaal Would Promise A Fascinating Ride

Should Louis van Gaal take over at Old Trafford, there seems little guarantee that he would be successful. One thing is sure, it would be an interesting and enjoyable ride...

The more I read about LVG the more I like him and think he would be a perfect replacement for SAF. He has similar traits, a proven winner, massive ego, plays attacking total Football, Master tactician, gives youth a chance, rules the dressing room and is blunt with the media when he perceives them to be asking him 'stupid' questions. He is exactly what United need, Moyes proved that nice guys can't manage big clubs so lets find the biggest boll#cks out there and give him a shot. After all we had the biggest boll#cks of them all for 20 plus years and we did fine thank you very much!

@ jd.quench: The "V" in Van Gaal is capitalised when one refers to the mad one as Van Gaal. If one uses his first name, then it is Louis van Gaal

@Skoolyad (Bradford City)> Why? Evans, Jones and Smalling are very comfortable with the ball at their feet and so is De Gae.The real problem is neither Jones or Smalling can stay healthy for any prolonged period of time, which is why we probably need a central defender who can.

The main thing I like is Van Gaal plays attacking passing football. He also believes in total football. I would love Klopp who I think would be perfect for United, sadly he is under contract and wont come, so Van Gaal seems like the second best option.

@jd.quench: It's a small 'v' if you use his full name (Louis van Gaal) but a capital if you're only giving his surname (The coach Van Gaal). Glad to be of service.

Yes, it would be great to see Mourinho-like hysterics at ManU and take them off their moral high horse. But how is van Gaal going to both be a dictator, putting his boot in superstars as well as attracting superstars to sign on for such bootings? Maybe he'll just drop his pants?

Please please please let this happen. He seems like an upgrade on Sir Alex's hair dryer, with added tactical nous. This is the excitement I hoped for, at last!

So if utd finish 7th this season. With no European football next year that should make them favourites for title? That's how it works right?

I'm still hoping for Klopp, even it's unlikely he'll come I hope United at least send their ghost lawyers over to have a chat with him. But... if it's to be LvG, this should be hilarious! Most United fans agree the players slacked off under Moyes, he was the nice substitute teacher that never bollocked anyone.. Well class, you didn't do your work under Mr Moyes so it's time for a new ballbreaker. Great article by the way, funny and informative

JD - I think it's only the small 'v' when it's a proper preposition. eg if it's between other names/words (Marco van Basten) then it's a small 'v', if it's on its own ('...the cross came to Van Basten...') it's a big 'V'. That may be b***ocksch though

e made his power play to try and get Sheikhy to raise his wages or trade him to PSG. PSG were probably not interested and he is stuck with no cake and no vacation. @Jay_D> Surely you jest about FFP being real, right? All Platini is doing is making billionaries pay measly fines, so he and his cronies can get rich. If a fool can pay 50 mil for David Luiz, he will happily pay some fine to UEFA. FFP has failed as for it to succeed UEFA had to take it...
