I backed Argentina each way to win and Higuain to be top scorer. One of those can still happen? Can't it?

Some great moments from Messi, inarguably the greates player of this generation, but i think he falls short of Zidane, what a player that was. In retrospect, i think we were blessed with many great players back in the late 90's/early 00's and he stood out even then. I wonder what others think? Are there as many 'great' players now and i'm just looking back with rose tinited spectacles?

heyremind me of Utd's treble winning side. Swashbuckling and risk prone. We ha Jaap Stam to paper over the cracks at the back though. Not sure they have their Jaap yet.

he solution is to not feel sorry for any of Jabba, Gold or Sullivan. They're all deeply unpleasant and all deserve each other. If only West Ham would sign Barton and Suarez then no one would ever need to despise any other club.
