Where the bloody hell are the rumours around Doria? He would be perfect for us, and no doubt end up at Barca.

@lfcfan80> You off all people calling me a troll did make me chuckle. So thanks for the laughs.

Every PL team has 2-3 youth players, their fans think are a sure thing, to break through to the first team, in a year or two. Ironically its only Pool fans who seem incensed that Ibe wasn't mentioned in this list, when no youth player from any of the PL teams were mentioned. A Pool fan also wrote into the mailbox complaining about it.

The last time Pool fans were so adamant that a player was a sure thing, it was the aforementioned Dani Pacheco & look how that turned out. So not trolling, just a stating facts. Ibe may very well turn into the next big thing, but can Pool fans stop trying to pretend he already is and stop taking offense that he wasn't mentioned in a list?

I remember FourFourTwo magazine used to do something similar to this article, for players in the lower leagues that may break through in the coming season (British players). I guess it's no longer possible as most of them are hoovered by up the PL teams very early on now. Although something similar would be welcome if one of you chaps could write it..

@stevebrady, I agree Ibe is going to be very very good this season. He just needs the opportunity to shine. I also feel Teixeira and Suso could have breakout seasons too. Personally I feel we should just promote Brad Smith to the position of first team left-back and see what he can do. We also have Jack Robinson to complement/cover for him along with Enrique.

Brilliant list Storey, thought this was going to be a prem exclusive thing and it was going to be Ander Herrera "breaking through" or whatever, pleasantly surprised to see the width being far greater. I heard that a Scottish lad was over in Lisbon, didn't know he was Messi though, HA. I am glad to hear Halilovic might be in with a shout, after hearing so much about him was pretty disappointed to hear he'd be in the b team, hope he gets promoted properly. I love Berardi too, he's a hero.

Timo Werner. Had a decent enough season with Stuttgart last year, but I think this season he'll really show his potential. Then he'll sign for Dortmund next summer.
