Wilshere: Is He Smoking Enough?

That might be the real problem here. There certainly isn't much to worry about when a 22-year-old has a wee puff of a cigarette on his jollies, so why the consternation?

@macduff. your hypocrisy is hilarious. You're admitting to having focus on just things Arsenal then? Not any other Clubs in the league. Well it's good your arrogance and ignorance lead you overlook us - but the3 points we tookfrom you - you can't ignore those can you? Or knocking you out of the FA Cup a few years back? That too? You criticise someone for respondiong to me then continue to hang on my every word and have responded 3 or 4 times. You need to take a long hard look at yourself - your arguments arent even logical. And please, don't start making assumptions that others on here think like you do as if that gives you some sort of backup to your daft statements. I am sure most people have a more well rounded opinion on the subject. I can comment about Wilshere (the England player), I can voice my dislike of him and his ways, and I can criticise him for smoking. Get over it. You seem really angry about this. Oh yeah - I forgot - you dont care lol. What if I said I loved Arsena; - would you then stop crying? I love them mate - now have some cocoa and go to bed

@magicfuller, me obsessed you say- but I am not the indignant one commenting the same bile on Stoke pages repetitively. In fact I can safely say I have never visited any website or page relating directly to the subject of Stoke for sport or any reason whatsoever, such is your significance and level of interest for me, and I would think many others here could say the same. Whereas you feel the need to regularly comment negatively often with a certain amount of vitriol on pages directly related to Arsenal. Your last two comments show that your first post, the one that trolled someone into regretfully acknowledging your existence, was not "merely stating that he should be a good example" as you falsely claim, but rather an opportunity for you to get your unhealthy disdain for Arsenal off your chest yet again and satisfy your evident obsession or habit.

@macduff - lol sounds like you're the one that's obsessed here. And ive lived and worked in London for over 15 years. Ironically North London. I think smoking kills more people than roughing up your midfield. Youre a typical Arsenal fan - jumping on the 'they play rugby' bandwagon, when Arsenal had the wrst disciplinary record year on year not that long ago with the likes of Keown and Tony Adam. You werent moaning then were. Oh then again you're Arsenal - I have no doubt you were moaning about something.

@magicfuller- not excited, just sniggering at you, your Stoke English and your moral outrage about the example smoking sets when you support a club represented by a number of talentless primates who will deliberately hurt, injure and break legs.

@johnwolf. Bill Hicks was a comedic legend, who spoke the truth and no-one has done it like him since. What is that link you've put up there, some bitter tripe no doubt, hating on a man who died 20 years ago. Newsflash for you, non-smokers die every day. Sorry, but it's the truth. Remember Jim Fixx. *laughed my ass off and went about my day*

@macduff: never known anyone get so excited by a typo. There must be a void, I'll let you deal with that. But in reference to my post I was merely stating that he should be a good example and not sparking up. He's mentioned himself that he doesn't want to be a bad example to his and other kids, so he should publicly denounce smoking and advise kids not to start after being found. Again. Let's face it, this is just the latest in a long line of hiccups for Wilshere. Brawling, starting fights with his cronies. He's on borrowed time. Let alone the other rather damaging allegations. You seem to have very low expectations for Jack and his behaviour. And what does Charlie Adam have to do with this. Then again he did boss your midfield last season so perhaps it still hurts you and you need to bring it up? We could mention another type and Charlie though while we are on the subject of Jack.

@magicfuller, funny post, "exaccerbated" (sic. snigger) by your unhealthy obsession with Arsenal. You believe Jack Wilshere, paid to play football for Arsenal, should be making every effort to advise kids not to start smoking- so lets start penciling him in for school visits when he finishes his community service, counseling and rehab for his appalling act of smoking. Jack Wilshere is an adult and parent himself, whether he behaves like one or not he is under no obligation to any children but his own. He has a contract with Arsenal and they can choose not to renew it if they do not like his performances and lifestyle. Similarly the England manager is under no obligation to select him if he would prefer a non smoker and better example. Shame non smoker and example to all Charlie Adam isn't English

icky van Wolfswinkel's remarkable record of one goal from one game at least deserves an honourable mention. And I'm willing to bet that at least one of Costa, Ulloa or Enner Valencia will earn a place on the list by the end of the season. Probably not Costa
