Fixtures released: Tricky start for Liverpool
Liverpool face Arsenal, Tottenham, Leicester and Chelsea in four of their first five Premier League games of 2016/17.
Jurgen Klopp’s side travel to the Emirates on the opening day, with their next two away league games at White Hart Lane and Stamford Bridge.
The flip side to that is Liverpool’s comparatively gentle run-in at the end of the season. Their last eight games are Bournemouth (h), Stoke (a), West Brom (a), Crystal Palace (h), Watford (a), Southampton (h), West Ham (a), Middlesbrough (h).
The two Merseyside derbies take place on December 17 and April 1, while Liverpool face Manchester United on October 15 and January 14.
As ever, fixtures are subject to change. However, given that Liverpool aren’t in Europe, supporters will enjoy far more Saturday matches.
