The 28-year-old has been allowed to leave Craven Cottage on a regular basis in the past - taking in spells at five different clubs in the last five years.

Stockdale has had to go in search of regular football elsewhere after seeing his route to the Fulham first team blocked by Mark Schwarzer.

The experienced Australian moved on over the summer, but Maarten Stekelenburg has been drafted in as his successor.

An injury to the Dutch shot-stopper at the start of the season offered Stockdale a rare nine-game run in the side, but he has since been dropped back to the bench.

Another loan switch has been mooted, but Jol will only sanction an exit if he can bring in cover when the transfer window re-opens.

He said in the Fulham Chronicle: "Stockdale has played a lot of games in the Premier League and was fine at the start of the season.

"Last time (when he was dropped) he was probably not as happy as I hoped he would be but, on the other hand, he's ambitious because he wants to be in goal.

"If I had another very good goalkeeper I would probably send him on loan."

T

he singular most disappointing aspect of the current malaise that Liverpool are experiencing is that F365 are not able to use the picture of Rodgers giving his troll smile. Brendan does a helluva good Hard Done By range though, especially in the rain, in fact he looks so forlorn you just want to say to the opposition Stop It, You're Killing Him!

n all seriousness the attitude of some of these commenters is very disappointing. I didn't realise F365's readership was so dumb, I've always thought of you all as relatively well informed. Thanks for showing me the light.

ame at 0-0 and missed loads of chances. Did he think it was agiven that Arsenal would win. Don't understand the shock from him. Put the ball in the net. They didn't and couldn't do that so they lost when utd could do that. Simple really. No need to be shocked.

Equating Rodgers To Hodgson. Oh Dear Me.

It's a Mailbox many will have been waiting. Brendan Rodgers gets a little bit of a stick, but there is at least praise for Manchester United,Van Gaal, Palace and Tottenham...

Oh Arsenal. Why Oh Why Oh Effing Why?

We have plenty of fallout from Arsenal's latest display of outrageous incompetence, plus the question of why every team seems to be getting worse. Plus, another Garcia ghost goal...
