The centre-back has been at Prenton Park since New Year's Day and has gone on to make 10 appearances for Rovers in League One.

"Stephen has got better and better since he arrived here at the start of the year," assistant manager John McMahon told Tranmere's official website.

"He's only a young lad and this is his first league experience but he is developing quickly.

"He's a great lad who has a lot of passion for the football club and I'm happy to keep him here for another month."
