The BDO employee was praised on Wednesday after his efforts saved the East End Park outfit from going bust earlier this year.

The League One club faced closure over debts of around £10m but Jackson managed to negotiate a deal with former owner and main creditor Gavin Masterton which allowed fans' group Pars United to gain control.

Jackson and his colleagues Trevor Birch and James Stephen are now focusing all their efforts on rescuing the Jambos from their own administration crisis and Locke hopes the football finance experts can do the double by saving Hearts.

He said: "I know I am speaking on behalf of everyone at Hearts when I say we're delighted to see Dunfermline come out of administration.

"It's great that the fans have taken over and I'm delighted for the gaffer (former Hearts boss Jim Jefferies, now in charge at Dunfermline) too. Now they can move forward as a football club.

"Bryan has been looking after them as well as us and we are in good hands with both he and Trevor. Hopefully, with a bit of luck we can get the same result as Dunfermline before January."

irst Townsend, now Chiles. What next ITV? Comedy that you can actually watch without vomiting up your own spleen? I'll be sad to see Matt Smith go though. I actually quite like him. Plus, he was good in Doctor Who.

wful, awful pundit. He was crap on BBC, and offered a little more analysis than Robbie Savage - apart from the delivery of banality in a sexy accent. Also, as I'm Irish he'll never be more then a slimy, hand-balling f**ker in my eyes.
