The in-form winger was injured in Saturday's meeting with Inverness Caledonian Thistle and it was thought his Achilles problem could sideline him for some time.

However, after being assessed by the club's medical department, the 20-year-old's injury is not as bad as first feared and he will be given every chance to make the trip to Parkhead on Saturday.

"With Ryan Stevenson, Mark Ridgers and Jason Holt all out at the moment, we can ill afford any more injuries with the size of squad we have just now," manager Gary Locke told Hearts News.

"It is good news that Jamie's injury doesn't appear to be anything too serious so we'll monitor him during the week and see how he is nearer to the match."

was there, it was embarrassing - the team looked totally unbalanced from the off, the defence was woeful and when Mikel came off injured it got even worse with nobody in front of them. reat to see Tommy Rosicky getting some love. A wonderful player. Such a pity we lost so long to injury. I was so excited when we signed him, this resurgence only makes the absences seem more of a lost opportunity.
