Scotland's interim manager Billy Stark has been forced to draft in reinforcements for Wednesday's game at Stade Josy Barthel following the withdrawal of nine players from his original squad over the weekend.

Left-back Dixon is hoping to win his third cap for his country following two previous appearances in the World Cup qualifiers against Serbia and Macedonia in September.

Dixon, 26, has made 17 appearances for Huddersfield this season following his arrival on a free transfer from Dundee United in June.

ah, Fergie is just having another pop at Rooney. He just wants to put him down whenever he gets a chance. Rooney is by far the best English player. Carrick is not far behind, mind. However, by elevating Carrick like that, Sir is having a dig at Wayne. Fergie is well-known for mind games like that. Good to see he's still feisty.
