James Vaughan: Getting back to full fitness

James Vaughan: Getting back to full fitness

The striker, who joined on loan from Norwich back in August, netted a late equaliser in Saturday's draw with Bolton and says Town's travelling fans will see an even sharper striker at Hull on Saturday.

"I was pleased to get through the 90 minutes and now I'll rest up and be ready for Hull. I am looking forward to it and I'm sure everyone else in the team is," he told the Daily Examiner.

"I'm still getting back to full fitness, still doing my thing in the gym with the physios, who have been great in helping me get back, and hopefully I'll be sharper still by the end of this week."

The 24-year-old was also quick to praise strike partner Alan Lee for his role in rescuing a point against Wanderers.

"He laid me in and luckily I finished it, but a lot of the credit has to go to Alan. I'm in the side to score goals, but the other lads do the approach work. Alan came on and was a great outlet," he added.
