Striker Beckford spent most of last season on loan at Huddersfield, while midfielder Danns spent the last three months of the campaign there before his spell was cut short by injury.

Beckford secured a permanent move from Leicester to Bolton in the summer and Danns teamed up with him again when joining Wanderers on loan in September.

"Neil Danns was a big influence and was suffering with a toe injury towards the end of his loan," said Robins.

"I wanted him in the side as much as possible, but he was struggling and missed those last games when it was really edgy.

"I really liked Jermaine. He was a really good character. He is an unbelievable technician in front of goal.

!He has Premier League quality. On his day he can be outstanding and I just hope they both have off days on Tuesday."

ah, Fergie is just having another pop at Rooney. He just wants to put him down whenever he gets a chance. Rooney is by far the best English player. Carrick is not far behind, mind. However, by elevating Carrick like that, Sir is having a dig at Wayne. Fergie is well-known for mind games like that. Good to see he's still feisty.
