Only two players, Leeds' Ross McCormack and Burnley's Danny Ings, have notched more Sky Bet Championship goals than Vaughan this term, and the Terriers forward would probably top the goal-scoring charts were it not for a recent game suspension.

Nevertheless Freedman, who managed Vaughan for a spell at Crystal Palace, has advised the Wanderers defence on just how to nullify his threat.

"I know him inside out," Freedman told Wanderers Player.

"He's really on top of his game. We've done a lot of work on him, we've watched videos on him and we've made sure the lads understand where his runs are, understand what kind of balls he expects into the box.

"We're not going to be short on preparation, commitment and desire. We just need to make sure we're relaxed enough to play good football. When we do that at the Reebok, we're a game for anyone."

ah, Fergie is just having another pop at Rooney. He just wants to put him down whenever he gets a chance. Rooney is by far the best English player. Carrick is not far behind, mind. However, by elevating Carrick like that, Sir is having a dig at Wayne. Fergie is well-known for mind games like that. Good to see he's still feisty.
