Back-to-back victories over Charlton and Derby at home have kept Hull firmly in the hunt for an automatic promotion place, with a win over Blackburn set to keep them ahead of the chasing pack.
Watford's emphatic 4-0 win at Birmingham saw them move into third but they are still three points adrift of Steve Bruce's Tigers, who in turn are eight points away from leaders Cardiff.
Meyler admitted the last two wins have been a huge boost and have fired them up for their next run of games.
The 23-year-old told the Hull Daily Mail: "We sat down with the manager last week and spoke about how important these home games were. It was crucial for us to try and win all three.
"That's two big wins and with a tough game coming up against Blackburn on Tuesday we've got to make sure we beat them too.
"The way this league is, you need to make sure you're right up for it. We were up for it against Derby and again against Charlton, so we need to make sure this little run keeps going.
"If we focus on ourselves, then there's not a team in this league that can live with us when we're firing on all cylinders."
