The 26-year-old has scored three goals in five appearances for the Tigers since he and defender Ahmed Fathi joined the club on loan from Al Ahly until the end of the season last month.

"I desperately need to score on Saturday and return the club on the right path," Gedo told Egyptian journalists.

"I want to delight the Tigers fans who have supported me since I came to England.

"I'm having a great life here and I want to continue my career in England and hope not to go back to Egypt now."

Hull's automatic promotion hopes were dealt a blow last weekend when they were beaten 4-1 at Bolton.

The Egypt international added: "I honestly felt very sad because I was unable to help against Bolton. Our fans couldn't believe what was unfolding. It was a nightmare.

"We must all put in an extra effort to forget this defeat.

"I have a big need to score in the next match and will do my best to help the Tigers achieve their Premier League dream."
