The 24-year-old, who has been a regular in the side since returning to action in December, had to be replaced in the 77th minute of the KC Stadium clash.

Scans have revealed the centre-back suffered ankle ligament damage and he will be absent for between two and three weeks, according to Rob Price, the club's head of medical services.

The Tigers have also revealed on their website that midfielder Sone Aluko is making progress following surgery on his plantaris tendon, but is still not ready to return.

Striker Matty Fryatt is now back in full training and closing on a first-team return, while defender Paul McShane is expected to step up his rehab over the weekend, although he will not play again this season due to an ankle injury.
