The 30-year-old is out-of-contract at the DW Stadium, and has opted to leave the relegated side.

A number of clubs had shown an interest in the left-footed stopper - who is comfortable in a number of positions in defence.

But it is Steve Bruce who has captured his signature for the second time in his career after he agreed a two-year deal at the KC Stadium.

Bruce first signed Figueroa in 2008 from Olimpia, and he has now persuaded him to join him in East Yorkshire.
