The 22-year-old is surplus to requirements at the KC Stadium and manager Steve Bruce is happy to let him leave.

Stewart had been strongly linked with a move to Scotland with Celtic but he now looks set for a move to the Championship.

Both Blackpool and Charlton are now keen on taking the former Manchester United wide-man.

As it is a loan, the deal would not have to be completed by Monday's transfer 11pm deadline.
