Matty Fryatt: Unsure whether he will get enough playing time

Fryatt, who is out of contract at the end of the season, has been pushed further down the pecking order subsequent to the arrival of fellow strikers Nikica Jelavic and Shane Long.

Despite scoring in Saturday's FA Cup fourth-round victory at Southend, the 27-year-old says that he is uncertain if he will play for the Tigers again.

Fryatt said: "I'm behind the two that have come in. If you make two big signings, then they are going to play.

"I was delighted to score and get two goals - the two new signings can't play in the FA Cup, so I may get one more game.

"It was difficult coming back from injury. I felt I did well in pre-season but the manager has backed the players who got us promoted and makes his own signings too.

"So then I was playing catch-up. I was grateful to go out on loan and score a few goals. If given an opportunity, I will do my best but at the minute I'm not starting games.

"What will be, will be. If Hull don't play me or don't want me and someone comes in, then we will see - but I will carry on doing my best."

e was right to leave, but not just because of the money City were coming into. If I remember rightly he had a reasonable amount of chances to shine at City, but he never passed the bloody ball. Loads of aimless dribbles and 40 yard shots and not much else. I would say that if he had learnt to be a bit more of a team player he may have done better at City.
