Mick McCarthy: Happy to let Cheick Kourouma leave

The French midfielder joined Town in September on a season-long deal having impressed on trial, with his move coming after the Championship club eventually negotiated their way past a host of red tape regarding possible compensation fees to other clubs.

But Kourouma has failed to make a single first-team appearance during his time at Portman Road, with his only outings coming in friendlies and Under-21 matches.

Ipswich chief executive Simon Clegg said: "We wish Cheick every success for the future."
