t the start of the season, after the RVP transfer, I confidently claimed that Arsenal would finish above United. I now regret it immensely.
aniel Storey generally did very well, going against the City won it last year so they're bound to win it this time grain. As for John Nicholson, I wouldn't trust him to predict correctly what day of the week it will be tomorrow.

For what it's worth, I was cornered in the playground by some old kids at age 10, and forced to decide who I was going to support - United or Liverpool. This was back in 1990. The kid I was most scared of demanded I picked United. I did. I can't say i'm sorry about it. (There were no clubs anywhere close, the nearest being Swindon or the Bristols, but neither were local, and none of my family gave a damn about football.)

I'm a glory hunter. I decided to watch City after watching them win a game and it wasn't raining or a Wednesday night or played at Stoke. That was 59 years ago so overall a pretty crap choice bearing in mid that I could walk to Old Trafford from our house. Still I've seen them win eight major trophies so not everything was chilly nights at Wrexham in the Third division. Best day? Watching City win at Newcastle 4-3 to take the league D1 title in 1968 and rushing back to see United beaten at home by Sunderland. Worst: home defeat by Lincoln City after losing first leg at Sincil bank. However if you go to football at all levels you'll meet cheerful fans who support clubs with no chance of even a place in the football league never mind major trophies. And they go long distances to away matches to support their teams. In comparison with that level of loyalty, all Premiership fans are glory hunters and most have little idea how the other footballing half lives.

I guess I would fall into that category. I'm American, hometown club is the Charleston Battery (you won't have heard of us), live in Hertfordshire, and support Manchester United. Not to jump on the "I'm going to justify my glory hunter status" bandwagon, but I do go as often as I can, which admittedly is only 3 or 4 times a year. I suppose my question is this: what's the difference between me being from 4000 miles away and choosing United, and the guy down the street from me in Hemel Hempstead choosing Tottenham when the closest league side to us is Watford? Honest question because I don't understand.
