Point pleases Kilmarnock boss

Rory McKenzie gave the home side a first-half lead but Danny Haynes equalised early in the second period.

Hibernian had enough chances to go on and win the game but Killie held out and Johnston felt a point apiece was a fair result, despite a nagging sense of disappointment that his team could not build on their lead.

"It was a bit disappointing as you are looking to win your home games, especially after taking the lead," he said.

"I thought we were the better team in the first half and passed the ball well on a difficult pitch.

"For the first 15 minutes of the second half we didn't start well and Hibs probably deserved their goal.

"After that we came back at them but probably a draw was just about right."

In contrast, Hibs boss Terry Butcher felt his side should have gone to win the contest having got themselves back into the game.

"I am disappointed we didn't win the game but I was delighted with the way we played," he said.

"They got their goal against the run of play and in the past Hibs might have resorted to hitting the long ball.

"In the first half we have done all right but only to the edge of their box. After the equaliser I thought we would go on and win.

"I said to the players at half-time that if we got one goal we would get more and I thought we might right up until the closing stages.

"Overall I'm really, really pleased with the way we played - and we have certainly played poorer and won."

ark clattenburg is one of those referees that tends to get stick from both sides cos he likes to let the game flow and is quite lenient, and people only remember the fouls against their own team that go unpunished whilst not noticing the ones they've gotten away with. To pick up 4 yellow cards with clattenburg in charge speaks volumes about your approach to the game mr pellegrini.

astly under-rated goal keeper. Barcelona could have gone out and bought a keeper at any point they liked, but they stuck with him for a reason.
