Alvaro Negredo: Won't be sold by Sevilla

It is understood that Sevilla have no intention of selling star striker Alvaro Negredo on Transfer Deadline Day - after Everton showed an interest.

Everton were strongly linked with a possible deadline day, but the Spanish club have insisted they would not entertain letting him leave.

"It does enter out plans the sale of such an important figure to us as Negredo, and on the last day of the market - this chance can be forgotten," Sevilla sources confirmed to Sky Sports.

Negredo's agent Juanma Lopez has claimed that contact was made by Everton, but he says the deal was not possible.

"It's impossible. Negredo is an important player for Sevilla and I am absolutely sure nothing will be done in this window," he told the Liverpool Echo.

"I know they have spoken to Everton but there is no way it will happen. Unfortunately there is no chance because Sevilla simply don't want to lose him, and if they do they will ask for crazy money."
