Sevilla have agreed a deal to sign Russia forward Denis Cheryshev on loan from Real Madrid for this season, Los Rojiblancos confirmed on their official website.

The 22-year-old, who scored 11 goals in 34 matches from Madrid's B side Castilla last term while making one appearance for the first team, passed his medical with the Andalusian club and will be officially presented on Monday afternoon.

There is no option in the deal for Sevilla to make the switch permanent once Cheryshev's loan spell is up.

Cheryshev made his debut for Russia in a friendly against United States last year and has won two caps to date. He also has Spanish nationality.

t's why Mourinho is so successful. He gives players a specific, limited set of functions to perform. They are but a cog in a machine. Do no more, do no less. I assume he learnt it from LvG :)
