Barcelona have confirmed the knee injury suffered by Andres Iniesta in Sunday's goalless draw at Atletico Madrid is not serious.

The Spain midfielder was taken off at half-time in the capital with a badly bruised left knee, but Barca said on Sunday morning there were "no other complications".

They revealed his withdrawal had been a precautionary measure.

A club statement said: "Tests carried out this morning confirmed that the player's recovery time will determine his availability for future games."

The draw at the Vicente Calderon meant Barca and Atletico remained level on points at the top of the Primera Division.

ood grief. Someone guessed that the form English player at the moment might be in his national side with some other players? And that's espionage? Now if they discovered that Emile Heskey was going to be in the starting line up.... at right back.... THAT would be espionage. Give it a rest Roy.
