Gibbons: Among those frustrated

Gibbons: Among those frustrated

The playing surface failed a morning pitch inspection due to the frozen conditions, leaving latest signings Jon Parkin, David Mirfin and Robbie Gibbons among those left kicking their heels.

"It was a pretty easy decision for the referee in fairness, but we could have done with a game just to give the players we have brought in a match," Knill told the club's official website.

"I think it was equally as frustrating for them. Jon [Parkin] hasn't played football in a while and couldn't wait to play.

"We also had Christian Ribeiro back [from concussion] and he wanted to play, having had an up-and-down start to his time here.

"But it's one of those things, we can't control the weather."

bsolutely delighted for Chelsea, what a story. Particularly happy for Drogba to (possibly) sign off a career on such a high note. Wonder how the spurs fans are feeling tonight.

eah yeah, whatever fatty. Keep trying to talk down a competition you'll never play in. I bet you'll get relegated next season and claim the 38th game is more important than the CL final too.
