Undersoil heating at Adams Park meant Wanderers' home fixture against Tranmere was one of only four games in the division to beat the weather at the weekend.
A 2-1 win for Waddock's side, coupled with defeats for Chesterfield and Yeovil, saw Wycombe climb out of the bottom four and move a point clear of the drop zone.
With relegation rivals Scunthorpe, Rochdale, Walsall and Exeter all having to reschedule their postponed games, Waddock told the Buckinghamshire Advertiser: "Teams around us have got games in hand but they have to play those games.
"We have got the points so have thrown a bit back their way because they now have to go and win those games. But we will keep plugging away, there are a lot of games to be played and there will be a lot of twists and turns."
