Parry was handed a boost in attack during the January transfer window when Mustafa Tiryaki's mooted move to Trabzonspor failed to materialise.
However, injuries to Enoch Showunmi and Andy Robinson still leave him short in the final third of the pitch, while Adam McGurk has nursed an ankle problem to score in the last two games.
"Signing a striker on loan is an option," Parry told the Liverpool Echo. "The rules say we can do it. Whether the finances say we can do it is another matter.
"The way it will work is if I can find a player, I will approach the chairman and say 'I know we have overspent on the budget but can we have this money to bring the player in?'
"If the money is there we can have him. If not, we just have to get on with it."
