Bell: Eager for success

Bell: Eager for success

Alex's impressive new year form has dipped slightly of late, with defeats at Barnet and Southend sandwiching last midweek's dramatic win over Burton, to leave Steve Davis' side five points shy of the top seven.

However, midfielder Bell - who recently returned from hernia surgery - believes consecutive home games with Accrington on Tuesday and AFC Wimbledon at the weekend could be the perfect remedy to the Railwaymen's recent travels woes.

"It's a big week for us with two games at home," said Bell in The Sentinel.

"Six points would be brilliant, although I am sure we are going to pick up points people don't expect us to and also drop points they'd think we'd get.

"It's a case of getting some consistency and winning more games than we draw over the next 16 games."

his is for the best, his hunger would be in serious question now after winning everything with us. A true Chelsea legend, up there with Osgood and Zola, come back and see us now and then Didier. And as Martin Tyler said on Saturday night....he is immortal at Chelsea. What a way to go out eh....Good luck big man wherever you land next.

ne of the many delights of the final few seconds of the season was seeing little Mike Owen with his trackie off and full replica kit on, getting ready to celebrate having contributed NOTHING all season. Would have been on a par with Terry's carry-on in Munich.
