Brunt: Could stay on at Prenton Park

The 18-year-old striker netted his first senior goal as Rovers drew 1-1 with League One leaders Charlton at the weekend.

His spell with the Merseyside outfit is due to end after Saturday's trip to Oldham and Parry admits he would like to hold on to the youngster beyond the end of this month.

"Towards the end of the week we'll sit down with Ryan, we'll speak to Stoke and I'll speak to the coaching staff, and we'll take it from there," he told Tranmere Player.

"I think he's done ever so well. The chances are if we're able to keep him I think we'd like to. But there's a lot of bridges to cross before that point.

"I think he'd benefit from staying, I think we'd benefit from him staying and I think Stoke would benefit from him staying."

his is for the best, his hunger would be in serious question now after winning everything with us. A true Chelsea legend, up there with Osgood and Zola, come back and see us now and then Didier. And as Martin Tyler said on Saturday night....he is immortal at Chelsea. What a way to go out eh....Good luck big man wherever you land next.

ne of the many delights of the final few seconds of the season was seeing little Mike Owen with his trackie off and full replica kit on, getting ready to celebrate having contributed NOTHING all season. Would have been on a par with Terry's carry-on in Munich.
