Westley: Has Latics counterpart's support

North End played out a 1-1 draw with Latics at Boundary Park on Saturday afternoon, as Chris Holroyd's first goal for the visitors cancelled out Robbie Simpson's opener.

Westley has endured a turbulent time since replacing Phil Brown in the Deepdale hotseat in January, and Dickov feels he has come in for undue criticism.

"Graham is somebody I've got a lot of time for. He takes a lot of stick, but when you look at his record at Stevenage it's fantastic if you go back to where he took them from.

"I've no doubt that, given time in the summer, once he gets his own players in and his own stamp on the football club he will be a success there. Preston have got a hell of a lot of pros and you can only pick 11 players.

"There's always a case at a football club that when people aren't playing football they're going to look to blame everybody else. I've seen it as a player, it was my pet hate as a player - a blame culture - and I've seen it as a manager. He's a strong character and he'll sort it out."
