Robinson: Motivated to win

Robinson: Motivated to win

Like last year the Dons finished fifth in League One, meaning the second leg of their semi-final tie will be away again. Robinson's side lost 4-3 on aggregate to Peterborough on that occasion following a 2-0 loss at London Road.

Ahead of Saturday's first game against Huddersfield at stadium:mk, Robinson said: "We have suffered defeat and it didn't break us, it took the fear out of it. If you take the fear out of it then if you lose, you lose and if you win, you win.

"If it was going to affect us then it would have done so before now. We go to bed at night dreaming of great days and celebrations. Now we have to make sure we do what we can to achieve our goal and take that siege mentality into the dressing room.

"I back my players against any team in this league. Nobody is going to stop us, we are going to make sure we put every bit of effort into it.

"I will deal with the pressure, I will deal with the adversity and I will take that on my shoulders. The players' job is to perform and play football. That is the most important thing, that is what they are paid to do. Saturday i an opportunity for them to perform at the highest level and show what they can do."
