Holden initially moved to Dale on loan from Chesterfield in November, with Neal Trotman going the other way before both players completed permanent moves in January.

Full-back Widdowson made 73 appearances after joining on a free transfer from Grimsby in June 2010, while veteran keeper Lucas played 20 times after arriving at Spotland over the summer.

Boss John Coleman has offered new deals to Jean Louis Akpa-Akpro, Kevin Amankwaah, Simon Hackney and Joe Thompson, while discussions with midfielder Brain Barry-Murphy are ongoing.

Skipper Gary Jones, Godwin Abadaki, Neill Byrne, Matt Edwards, Ashley Grimes, Reece Gray, Marcus Holness, Stephen Jordan, Jason Kennedy, Andrew Tutte, Marc Twaddle and Nicky Adams are under contract for the 2012/13 season, although the latter is available to other clubs after handing in a transfer request.
