Rhodes is looking forward to the chance to showcase his talent after taking his tally for the season to 40 on Tuesday night when he bagged the goal that effectively saw off MK Dons in the semi-final, teeing up a 3-2 aggregate win.
The Dons scored late on to seal a 2-1 win on the night, but Town had done enough in the first leg, where Rhodes got another, to book their final date with Sheffield United on May 26.
But Rhodes, who is sure to attract further attention of Premier League this summer, is keen to shy away from the limelight.
"It was a real team effort, we all worked our socks off," he told Press Association Sport. "The defence in particular threw their bodies in front of things and (goalkeeper) Alex Smithies was making saves. It was fantastic. It's great to get to the final and great to be a game away from promotion.
"We haven't achieved anything yet. We aren't in the next division, we're a game away from it and that is an exciting prospect but we have to go there with the mentality of working as hard as we can and playing to the best of our ability. These two legs count for nothing, and going into the final against a great club like Sheffield United is going to be a fantastic occasion and I can't wait to play there."
