Left-back Redwood, 20, was released by Brighton at the end of last season after progressing through the Seagulls' youth set-up.

He spent three months on loan at Dover last season and will be added to the Bees' development squad ahead of the forthcoming campaign.

Ose Aibangee, Brentford's head of youth development, said: "Leon will supplement the development squad and group, but ultimately our aim is for him to get into the first team."
