Parry struck with a glorious rising shot hit with tremendous power in the fourth minute as Shrewsbury bounced back from Saturday's 1-0 defeat to Sheffield United.

Turner is a big admirer of former Wales international Parry and he expects the winger to chip in with his fair share of goals this season.

He said: "He should be going into double figures this season in goals.

"He's a great striker of the ball and he's just caught it as sweet as anything. You won't see many better goals than that. It was a fantastic finish.

Turner added: "We should have got something out of the Sheffield United game so the message to the players will be there's nothing to fear."
