Wilson: Looking at loan market

Howard is expected to be sidelined for a month after sustaining a thigh muscle injury in the weekend win at Leyton Orient and although teenage replacement George Long did not put a foot wrong, Wilson wants to add another goalkeeper to his squad in time for next weekend's league clash with Oldham.

Wilson was quick to stress he would not hesitate in keeping Long in the side - he made his first-team debut as a 17-year-old on the last day of the 2010/11 season - but still needed another goalkeeper.

Blades defender Matt Hill was full of praise for Long after Saturday's 1-0 win, describing his performance after the game as "absolutely fantastic".

"He's worked hard in training and waited for his chance," said Hill. "The stop he pulled off in the second half was as good as a goal.

"There wasn't any panic from us when George came on and that's because we've got faith and confidence in him. He performed well and he spoke well, so all credit to him."

m starting to think Roman may never actually be happy at the top level. If he wants all conquering fancy football I wonder if he'd be better off buying a lower division side then paying outlandish salaries to attract high caliber players too good for the division.
