Akpa Akpro fractured the fifth metatarsal in his left foot during Saturday's 1-0 win over Notts County that maintained the League One pacesetters' unbeaten start to the season.

Signed from Rochdale in the summer, Akpa Akpro has hit the ground running at Prenton Park with seven goals in 13 appearances.

Rovers boss Ronnie Moore confirmed he is set to seek reinforcements in the loan market during the 27-year-old's absence.
