Fratton Park boss Michael Appleton has confirmed there is loan interest in the 30-year-old and talks are taking place.

League One rivals Brentford and Shrewsbury are thought to be the two sides who want to take Rodgers.

And while Appleton has not revealed the names of clubs, he has confirmed there have been discussions.

"There is interest," Appleton said in The Sun. "We're in dialogue with a couple of clubs."
