Jersey-born Pitman made his name with the Cherries before leaving in August 2010 to join Bristol City on a three-year contract.

He scored 20 times in 36 starts for City, making 81 appearances in total in just over two years at Ashton Gate.

Pitman joined Bournemouth as a 16-year-old, making his debut in the Carling Cup penalty shoot-out victory over Torquay United in 2005.

In five years with the Dorset club Pitman scored 62 goals in 197 appearances.
