Woods: Has self-belief

The 22-year-old has been an ever-present for high-flying Rovers so far this campaign, keeping nine clean sheets in 28 games.

Woods made his debut aged just 18 in 2009 and thinks that a firm confidence in his own ability has ensured he has progressed to become manager Dean Saunders' number one.

He told the club's official website: "Everyone looks at it like, 'He's a young goalkeeper,' but I had self-belief - if you don't believe in yourself you won't get very far.

"I've always had confidence in my own ability. Last season I didn't really get a run in the team which is always hard for a goalkeeper at any level.

"This season Dean has given me a run of games and hopefully I'm repaying him with my performances."

m starting to think Roman may never actually be happy at the top level. If he wants all conquering fancy football I wonder if he'd be better off buying a lower division side then paying outlandish salaries to attract high caliber players too good for the division.

afa has to be favourite for the Everton job now, surely :) He'll realise his ambition to live and work on Merseyside again, get the best out of whoever plays for them, maybe win some cups and be thoroughly loathed by the toffee fans. What's not to like? Go ead, Ken, gimajob!

hat is arguably the least inspiring England I have ever seen. There is not a single name in that list that makes me think I might actually want to watch this team. Not a one.
