Dickov: 'Slightly disappointed'

Dickov was upset with referee Richard Clark for the 67th-minute sending off of Wesolowski for a challenge on Damien Mozika.

It came just two minutes after Jose Baxter's penalty had seen the Latics claw themselves level at 2-2 after being 2-0 down.

"I thought we might have gone on and won it until the sending off," said Dickov.

"It was bizarre because the referee was not going to show the red card until after the intervention of the fourth official. I thought the fourth official was only allowed to get involved when asked to by the referee instead of running onto the touchline.

"After losing our previous four games, I suppose I have to be pleased at coming back from 2-0 down to get a point. But I am slightly disappointed we did not get all three.

"I thought the commitment and character and desire of the players was fantastic to get back into the game from 2-0 down. I always thought we could score goals - and we could have gone on and won it."

Scunthorpe took command with goals after 16 minutes and 19 minutes from Niall Canavan and Mark Duffy respectively before former Iron skipper Cliff Byrne and then Baxter netted for the visitors.
