The 19-year-old England youth international has yet to make a first-team appearance but is highly rated at Gresty Road and has now committed himself to the club until the summer of 2015.

Boss Steve Davis told the club website: "We have signed Ben up for another two years and we are really pleased with that.

"He is one for the future and we are delighted to see him sign.

"It is a good move him and the club. He is an England goalkeeper and we are excited about him.

"We see him as somebody who will start to push for a place. He is improving all the time and he fully deserves his contract."
