The Bees took cup holders Chelsea to a replay following a 2-2 draw at Griffin Park, and then held the European champions for 54 minutes on Sunday before eventually going down 4-0.

Rosler's side will come back down to earth next weekend when they host Walsall.

They are currently a point outside the play-off spots and just three shy of the automatic promotion spots, and Rosler hopes their displays against the Blues can spur them to success during the run-in.

The Bees boss said: "My players can be very proud of the way they represented our colours.

"Our players can see they can compete collectively against top opposition.

"They can take confidence because they have performed to a very high level over two games."

ah, Fergie is just having another pop at Rooney. He just wants to put him down whenever he gets a chance. Rooney is by far the best English player. Carrick is not far behind, mind. However, by elevating Carrick like that, Sir is having a dig at Wayne. Fergie is well-known for mind games like that. Good to see he's still feisty.
