Keith Curle was sacked by the League One club at the start of this month, with caretaker boss Chris Kiwomya recording a loss and two draws from his three games in charge.

And Magpies chief executive Jim Rodwell insists Kiwomya will again take charge for Friday night's home clash against Bury, with the powers that be at the club taking their time as they weigh up their options.

"Chris is in charge of the first team and that is the way that it will remain until he is told otherwise," Rodwell told the Nottingham Post.

"We have not interviewed anyone for the position at this stage.

"We are taking our time, considering our options and will make a decision from there. But I fully expect Chris to be in charge on Friday night when we play Bury."

Kiwomya, Steve Evans, Steve Cotterill, Paolo Di Canio and Gary Megson are among the bookmakers' favourites for the post.
