The League One side have been linked with a move away from the Leyton area in light of West Ham's move to the London 2012 stadium.

O's chairman Barry Hearn is continuing his legal battle in pursuit of a groundshare with the Hammers but, should that fail, he says the O's will stay put.

Hearn is also giving away 1,500 free season tickets to youngsters and students in a bid to create a new generation of Orient supporters.

He said: "I'm proud to announce this initiative that I hope will be the dawning of a new era for this football club.

"Leyton Orient has been and always will be a real community club that continues to fight our corner despite being the underdog when you look at our neighbours and the threats we face.

"We will continue to fight the decision to deny us the opportunity to move to the Olympic Stadium, but we will fight it in our own backyard and will not be squeezed out.

"A free season ticket provides someone the chance to not only come down and stand up for their local club but also to most importantly watch some exciting football and develop a lifelong affiliation with the club."

he uber commercialisation of the 90s has led to the point where this overly familar, try hard, jolly hockey sticks type fronts up a major football match on a weekly basis. Unlike the great presenters of yesteryear, I doubt he would even recognise the scent of Brut.

onfirmed. Nick Miller is a douche bag. Lazy, incoherent rant is what this article should be titled. And for the editor to have the temerity to pass this as acceptable writing is shocking. Ah well, anything for clicks right? You got mine. Well done. Your mother must be proud.
